Oxford Student Experiences That Speak Volumes

My experience at the Oxford Summer Program has been nothing but Amazing. I was able to meet many different people from around the globe, all the way from Pakistan, to India, to the US, to many different nationalities, and I got to see the different cultures and how they all cooperate together to make such a great community here in St Anne's College.

The best parts of the program were the friends that I made here, and the social environment was great. I had the best time attending the tutorials. The math teacher was really good. I got too much help in writing the essay. Would definitely come again.

My favourite part of the program is how everyone just connects naturally, especially through music. For example, when we go to the junior common room, and some people are playing the guitar and the piano, it feels like everyone just connects and we’re all singing. I feel like I’m in a movie. Punting was also the most fun experience I’ve ever had, and I don’t think I’ll ever forget it.

Frequently Asked Questions

It’s the page’s way of grouping the experience into three pillars: Oxford Learning (tutorial-style academics in very small groups), Oxford Lifestyle (college living + iconic Oxford activities), and Oxford Leadership (debating/public speaking + admissions/career guidance).
Teaching is built around Oxford-style tutorials with a highly personalised 1:1 to 1:3 student-to-teacher ratio, designed for active discussion—asking questions, defending ideas, and building academic confidence.
The page highlights a residential, college-based feel: historic accommodation and dining, experiencing Oxford town, and signature activities like punting on the River Cherwell, plus museums/college exploration and social bonding/networking with students from around the world.
The leadership pillar focuses on skill-building that goes beyond classes: Oxford Union-style parliamentary debating, public speaking coaching, and personalised admissions support, plus broader career guidance/mentorship and confidence-building presentation skills.
