Student Life at Oxford Summer Program
Live like an Oxford student in historic college rooms, enjoy formal hall dining, explore magical Oxford, and join sports, trips, and social events that make the Oxford lifestyle summer programme a truly immersive university experience.

The Oxford Summer Program offers students an authentic taste of life as an Oxford student. Participants live in university accommodations, dine in historic college halls, attend courses led by esteemed Oxford scholars, and immerse themselves in the vibrant student culture that defines the city.
Small cohort sizes foster close connections among students, while intimate tutorial groups encourage meaningful relationships with tutors, program administrators, and staff. These bonds often extend beyond the program, with many participants returning to Oxford as university students and the Oxford Institute proudly continues to support them.
Under the Oxford Institute umbrella, we have built a global, close-knit community of learners who understand that Oxford is defined not only by its historic architecture or prestige, but by its people and their passion for knowledge. By nurturing these connections, the program creates lasting relationships that capture the true spirit of Oxford.

Magical Oxford
Oxford is a city where history, tradition, and knowledge converge. Its iconic spires, cobbled streets, and ancient colleges inspire both study and imagination, having influenced writers like J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis. Beyond the classroom, students can explore the River Thames, museums, galleries, and theatres, making Oxford a city of learning, discovery, and lasting inspiration.
College Accommodation
Students stay in a historic Oxford college, living in the same rooms used by degree students during term time. With en-suite facilities, Wi-Fi, and shared kitchen access, the accommodation combines comfort with functionality. Set among picturesque quads, lawns, and green spaces, it offers a unique connection to Oxford’s distinguished alumni and an inspiring environment for study, social life, and personal growth.

Extracurricular Activities
The Oxford Summer Programme places a strong emphasis on extracurricular activities, designed to nurture students’ personalities and make their experience both enjoyable and enriching. Alongside structured activities such as sports, indoor games, excursion trips, and entertainment events, students are given unstructured time to explore the diverse opportunities Oxford has to offer. The city itself, with its impressive Gothic architecture, provides a vibrant and inspiring backdrop for learning and exploration.
Participants can engage in a wide range of activities that complement academic learning, including day trips to London, sports days, and indoor games, as well as traditional Oxford experiences such as punting on the River Cherwell. Excursion trips offer the chance to discover the surrounding areas, combining adventure, cultural enrichment, and fun within the immersive Oxford experience.
Dining Experience
Students at the Oxford Institute Summer Programme dine in historic college halls, experiencing the tradition that inspired Hogwarts’ iconic dining scenes. Breakfast and dinner are served daily, with freshly prepared, high-quality meals that cater to diverse dietary needs. Formal dinners, included in the programme fee, offer students the chance to enjoy a truly memorable dining experience in the heart of Oxford’s historic and inspiring atmosphere.
